The methodologyAs a coach and RTT practitioner, I find it important to design the sessions based on the needs of my clients. The methodology I'm using is based in Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), Coaching, the Swedish Model of Integrated Mental Training (IMT), Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I'm also using my academic background in psychology in order to help individuals to create powerful changes.
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) was developed by the British therapist Marisa Peer and has won a number of awards. RTT is an emotionally-focused therapy, which can be applied to a number of various issues. It has the power of creating deep and lasting changes since it gives you an opportunity to connect with yourself and your subconscious mind on a deeper level. RTT embraces many of the positive aspects of Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, NLP, CBT and Neuroscience that are known to produce a transformative effect on clients.

HypnotherapyHypnotherapy is utilizing the natural state of human consciousness that we are entering automatically every time we are falling asleep or just before waking up. At this state, our brain is using theta brain waves; a fantastic state to create powerful changes. Hypnotherapy utilizes this state of deep focus and absorption by the usage of therapeutic techniques.
Hypnotherapy is a brilliant tool to create powerful changes since hypnosis is a gateway to the subconscious mind. The reason why it is important to connect with one's subconscious mind is that more than 90 % of our decisions and habits are governed by it. It is a bit like a hard drive of a computer; it stores both useful and harmful files that enters without us noticing it. When growing up, our subconscious mind has tought us what is positive and what is negative, trying to make us feel good and avoiding what is causing us pain. As an example, Adam a client of mine faced a large inner fear of making any kind of mistake and it caused anxiety and sleeping problems in times he had to take on new tasks as a manger at work. During a session with him, he went back to the root of the problem and now understood that his subconscious mind was programmed to avoid mistakes at the age of 7 when his teacher violently punished him in front of the whole class because he had made a mistake. When he understood the cause of the problem, I helped him to start a reprogramming of his subconscious mind of seeing mistakes as a proof of learning and growing instead of punishment. By doing so, he let go of the anxiety and sleeping problem and started to love taking on new tasks at work. You can read more about scientific studies explaining the benefits of hypnotherapy here. |
The Swedish model of Integrated Mental training (IMT)The Swedish model of Integrated Mental Training (IMT) was developed by Lars-Eric Uneståhl, Ph.D. at Uppsala University during the 60:s. The goal of IMT is to help individuals to develop helpful mental processes such as thoughts, images, and attitudes based on a special state for change and development, characterized by an alternative state of consciousness.

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)NLP was founded in the 1970s by Grinder and Bandler with the aim of understanding the difference between excellent and non-excellent behaviour in the 1970s. In their research they wanted to know what made therapists such as Virginia Satir, Robert Dilts and Milton Erickson so special. This is why they studied their techniques and results. The outcome of their research became a wide toolbox of techniques for personal transformation, which is also called NLP.
