Maybe you are searching among the branches, for what only appears in the roots.
I was one of those who said "Hypnosis?" with a bit of skeptical voice when I first came into contact with this in my coaching education. Never had I thought what a fantastic transport it would be for me to rapidly remove inner insecurities and in the same time making me feel enough the way I am.
What is a hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of human consciousness that we are entering automatically hundred of times daily. It is similar to day dreaming, worrying or thinking about the past or the future. In my HypnoCoaching sessions (combination of coaching and hypnosis), are you in very focused and relaxed state of mind where you more easily can find the root of your challenges, as well resources and inner strength to create changes.
Why is it efficient?
More than 90 % of our decisions and habits are governed by our subconscious mind. It is a bit like a hard drive of a computer; it stores both useful and harmful files that enters without us noticing it. The old harmful files can start to cause problems damaging the other files and the system as a whole. Since the files are rooted in the subconscious mind it is challenging to reprogram the hard drive with the conscious mind. The door to the subconscious system can instead easily be opened by entering a hypnotic state where reformatting of the harmful files upgrades the whole of the system.
How the subconcious mind works
During growing up, our subconscious mind has tought us what is positive and what is negative, trying to make us feel good and avoiding what is causing us pain. As an example, Adam a client of mine faced a large inner fear of making any kind of mistake and it caused anxiety and sleeping problems in times he had to take on new tasks as a manger at work.
During a HypnoCoaching session with him, he went back to the root of the problem and now understood that it started at the age of 7 when his teacher violently punished him in front of the whole class because he had made a mistake. When he understood the cause of the problem he could now start to reprogram his subconscious mind of seeing mistakes as a proof of learning and growing instead of punishment. By doing so, he let go of the anxiety and sleeping problem and started to love taking on new tasks at work.
In the example above, the subconscious mind tried to help Adam to avoid being punished again because it was what it connected trying out new tasks with. From the beginning its intention was to protect Adam but as an adult it caused more pain than good. The subconscious mind does not understand that a new pain is created in the same time as we are trying to avoid the old, such as in this case the anxiety and sleeping problems. The mind likes what is familiar and it saves energy and therefore we are holding into old habits, beliefs and feelings.
How does a session look like?
The initial process starts with understanding the roots of the particular roadblock you want to work with. When understanding how it came to enter your life, you are starting a process of healing and transforming your inner landscape of thoughts, feelings, and behavior. After that, every action you take towards strengthening yourself will grow deeper and more colorful in your soil.
In the upcoming sessions, you will be trying out various techniques of giving and creating inner resources, helping you towards your destination.
What roadblocks are possible to transform?
Hypnosis can be used for a majority of issues blocking your road since it has the power to find the root of any blockage regardless its expression. I'm working with developmental hypnosis and not clinical.
Some common roadblocks possible to work with are (but not limited to):
- Sleeping issues
- Low self-esteem
- Lack of confidence
- Not feeling enough
- Fear of public speaking
- Fear of rejection
- Lack of self-belief
- Dealing with stress
- Inner fears
- Negative body image
- Fear of leading others
What are some results you seen?
I seen individuals become free from their addictions, sleep better, dare to stand in front of people, improve their self-esteem and confidence, and become free from limiting beliefs.
In my last client evaluation, 85 % stated that the sessions had much or very much impact on the issue they came for. The remaining percentage stated that they had experienced quite a lot of impact. The same percentage stated that the sessions had an overall positive impact on their well-being and health.
What qualifications do you have?
I'm a certified hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists, HypnoCoach through the Scandinavian Leadership Institute, as well a Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner by the British award winning hypnotherapist Marisa Peer.
