What is Transformational Mind Coaching?

Transformational Mind Coaching is a range of mind empowerment techniques for increased well-being and performance. The sessions are designed to fit your individual needs and every session is conducted with the aim of creating a powerful process that is helping you to move forward. Transformational Mind Coaching is targeting both the conscious and the subconscious mind in order to create deep and transformational changes.

What is the subconscious mind? |
Think about your subconscious mind as your own autopilot, it operates on a deeper and more hidden level and stores all of your previous life experiences, your beliefs, and your memories. The subconscious autopilot is responsible for automatically triggering feelings and emotions in your daily life, many times without us realizing. The conscious mind is, on the other hand, analytical and logical.
During growing up, our subconscious mind has tought us what is positive and what is negative, trying to make us feel good and avoiding what is causing us pain. As an example, Adam a Tanzanian client of mine faced a large inner fear of making any kind of mistake and it caused anxiety and sleeping problems in times he had to take on new tasks as a manger at work. During a session with him, he went back to the root of the problem and now understood that it started at the age of 7 when his teacher violently punished him in front of the whole class because he had made a mistake. When he understood the cause of the problem he could now start to reprogram his subconscious mind of seeing mistakes as a proof of learning and growing instead of punishment. By doing so, he let go of the anxiety and sleeping problem and started to absolutely love taking on new tasks at work. In the example above, the subconscious mind tried to help Adam to avoid being punished again because it was what it connected trying out new tasks with. From the beginning its intention was to protect Adam but as an adult it caused more pain than good. The subconscious mind does not understand that a new pain is created in the same time as we are trying to avoid the old, such as in this case the anxiety and sleeping problems. The mind likes what is familiar and it saves energy and therefore we are holding into old habits. The gateway to the subconscious mind is a natural state of relaxed focus of human consciousness, also called hypnotic state. This is a state which we are entering automatically hundred of times daily, such as by day dreaming, worrying or thinking about the past or the future. It is also a state you experience before falling asleep or waking up. In this state your brain waves are in theta, which is a great state for learning and creating powerful inner changes. Within the Mind Coaching sessions, I help you to connect to your own inner state and thereby create powerful transformations. Neuroscience shows that in a hypnotic state, the mind is more receptive to change, less self-conscious, and more open for positive suggestions. What kind of issues can be worked with? |
I can support you to overcome a number of issues such as: Lack of confidence, low self-esteem, weight issues, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, anger, unwanted habits, fears & phobias, smoking, and addictions.

How is a session structured? |
The initial process starts with understanding what you would like the results of the Mind Coaching to be, as well what particular challenge you would like to work with. The sessions will then use a variety of Mind Coaching tools helping you to move into your own destination of change.

Will my details be disclosed? |
No they will not, everything that is said during the sessions is confidential (as long as you are not endangering yourself or others).

Am I in control in the session? |
You are in full control and aware of everything that is happening in the session. I can not make you do anything that you don't want to do.

Do I need to do something in between the sessions? |
In order for you to help your mind to familiarize with the new changes you will be given a personalised mind training audio recording to listen to after your session. The audio will help you to reprogram your mind, as well build self-compassion, and inner harmony. I might also give you selected self-reflection exercises.
